| I am an internationally educated nurse with more than 20 years of service, who has a Canadian Personal Support Worker certificate. I have experience assisting clients who suffer from different diseases and physical and cognitive disabilities, supporting and encouraging them according to their abilities, with the performance of activities of daily living respecting their individuality, dignity, privacy and preferences; this includes personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, positioning and repositioning, and nutritional support. Experience in using mechanical elevators to transfer, mobilize and elevate clients, considering their needs and cognitive and physical state if required. I am a compassionate and humane person with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and families with continuous and effective communication.

| I’m a Client Care Coordinator for a group home called Safehaven. I work with ages 0-40. I have 5 years experience working with children and 3 years experience with complex needs.

My name is Brittany and I am currently attending Guelph University for Child, Youth, and Family. I am looking foreword to a future in working with children and families around York region or Toronto in my future. I chose this program because I find I am good with all kinds of people and I have a special wanting to help and nurture everyone around me. I am great with children as I have an 8-year-old sister whom I am very close with and helped parent growing up. I also have babysat since I was 13 and am very responsible. I was a Nanny for a year with two young children with autism, I worked full time with the family and adapted quickly. I then worked during the school year as a Nanny to two children while balancing school. All the experience I have obtained over the past few years has broadened my knowledge immensely. I love children so much and getting the chance to help them and witness them grow and achieve is amazing and is what inspired me to go into my program in university. I am currently working with a 13 year old with severe autism once a week and helping her with her social skills.

| I have a son with ADHD, he is a special child with IQ above average due to a diagnosis of mild autism spectrum disorder. I can collaborate with the upbringing and care of your child. I know they are brilliant children, with a lot to give. Call me.

| In previous roles I have had the opportunity to support both families and individuals and I believe my experience makes me suitable to care for your loved one. I have a diploma in Early Childhood Education as well as a Communicative Disorders Assistant certificate which allows me to work alongside individuals with various speech disorders. Working with people meets my desire to care and advocate for individuals and their families. I am seeking to find a position that both utilizes my skills and gives me the opportunity make a difference in the community.

| I have been coaching a special needs soccer program since 2015. In addition, I was an active member of my high school's best buddies program. I am currently studying in University, majoring in Human Behaviour with a specialization in Autism and Behavioural Science.
