Position Overview:

Are you ready to create user experiences that matter and make people’s lives better? Care.com is looking for a top-notch Sr. Product Designer to join our agile team to strategize and create outstanding user experiences for our members. The ideal person will be passionate about user experience and visual design with an ability to artfully realize UX designs on our desktop, mobile web, iOS, and Android applications. Note: This position is hybrid in Austin, TX, Dallas, TX or Salt Lake City, UT. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Craft beautiful, seamless end-to-end experiences focused on critical customer touchpoints within the product journey
  • Proactively drive all aspects of the product design process, including opportunity identifications, ideation, design execution, and data-driven iteration
  • Through expert-level visual design, marry brand visual language with elegant product design to build trust with our customers and elevate the way we merchandise the value of our platform
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships with product managers, engineers, product marketers, and others through thoughtful collaboration and communication
  • Expertly synthesize a diverse set of inputs including design feedback, customer insights, market data, and product metrics into elegant design solutions
  • Influence the continued evolution of the product experience through thoughtful storytelling and the creation of impactful design artifacts

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of professional UX design experience building and evolving consumer-facing product experiences, across both web and native mobile platforms
  • Deep expertise in designing for top-of-funnel product experiences and supporting unique customer needs during those parts of the journey
  • Online portfolio of consumer-facing design systems work demonstrating expert-level visual and interaction design
  • Strong experience working within and simplifying complex ecosystems that span multiple user groups and lines of business
  • Strong storytelling, communication, and facilitation skills to help drive alignment and adoption of user-centered design solutions
  • Ability to think strategically and connect your work to the broader goals of the business and needs of Care’s customers
  • Be self-motivated, with the ability to proactively surface opportunities and drive projects to completion without close supervision
  • Ability to coach more junior team members on best practices and ways to elevate their own work
  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma, prototyping, and user testing tools
  • Expert in navigating and collaborating across an agile, cross-functional environment that spans multiple teams, geographies, and business units

Salary Range:  $136,000-$150,000.

The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the national salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Care.com’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives. In addition, Care.com provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life, and disability insurance, a generous 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
