Philosophy-Prince & Princess Child Care Home and Preschool is designed to meet each the different needs of infants, toddlers, preschoolers and older children. Each day the emotional, spiritual, cognitive, language, social, physical and creative needs are met with the understanding that each one is aunique individual.
I LOVE babies, children and their developmental stages. I enjoy caring, teaching, loving and growing with them. We are a Christian home. In addition to our academic curriculum, children learn the basic Biblical principals of kindness, compassion, truthfulness, forgiveness and love. Instead of a formal classroom-we provide lots of Tender Loving Care mixed with learning. I specialize in getting to know your child and meeting their individual needs. Opportunities abound for nurturing, exploring, learning concepts to problem solve, create, social emotional skills with many hands-on experiences.
Program-Provided is a combination of a loving family home mixed with infant, toddler and pre-school activities as age appropriate. Infants enjoy our daily routine and activities while being nurtured, loved and cared for. They are the youngest members of our "school family" and enjoy the extra TLC from all. Infants are included and cared for as well as those of the toddlers and preschool age. Each day is designed for the children to come and learn and grow with us until they go to Kindergarten. There is plenty of free play along with our daily lessons and activities. Unless a child is diagnosed with special needs and needs to be in a specific school setting, children attend preschool here. This home welcomes children up to age 12 who need care when their school is closed and in the summer. We offer special activities for a school age child as well.
Curriculum-Our curriculum is an outstanding combination of Creative Curriculum for Family Child Care and Preschool, activities from Mother Goose Times, Christian based lessons and Weekly Reader. Ages 3-5 are taught within and exceed the guidelines of the Illinois Early Learning Standards. This sets the appropriate stage for kindergarten readiness.
Discipline-Each child from infancy on is taught Conscious Discipline-a social emotional intelligence program. The skills are Composure, Assertiveness, Positive Intent, Encouragement, Empathy, Choices and Consequences. Infants are held and taught breathing calming techniques. ... show more
