Would you like a small group, loving, home environment for your child? For many parents, the answer to this question is a resounding YES. It can be overwhelming for some children to thrive in the large groups childcare centers can provide, especially with the constant turnover of caregivers and teachers. I know, I taught as a preschool and toddler teacher for over 15 years. I've also been a nanny and neighborhood preschool facilitator, so I understand how little individual attention a child in group care actually receives. My name is Tara, I am a CDA certified preschool teacher and I would love to give your child a great experience of learning through play in my home. I have 4 amazing children. My oldest son is 13 and will be attending Jr. high in the fall. My 5 year old son is excited to begin full day kindergarten. My little girl is 3 1/2 and attends preschool with an IEP for ASD. I also have a 9 month old baby boy who is learning to pull up and cruise! I have room for 2 more special children and will provide nutritious meals and snacks as well as opportunities for enrichment and outdoor play. Our environment is set up into learning centers including writing, manipulatives, science, math and dramatic play areas. We'll have a structured schedule including circle time with songs, stories and calendar. I'm willing to accommodate any needs that your child may have and special interests that concern you. We will also play games that give our bodies the exercise it needs along with a climber, swings, sand box and riding toys outside for fun times. I know daycare is expensive, so I have a reasonable rate of $30 per day. We can talk about hours of availability, as I am open to alternate schedules. School age children both before and after school are welcome. Please feel free to call me with any questions.
