I work for a company called DDRC and have been there 4 years. I work with adults in a day program. We get to plan and enjoy fun outings such as the zoo or fun museums. For in house activities we do lots of cooking lessons, gardening, and arts and crafts. We also plan lots of music and sensory activities. It has been an incredible time and the biggest blessing has been doing my one on one with a women who is gait belt assisted. I absolutely enjoy and love the population and being in the field. My hope now is to work more with kids who have IDD.
