I am a reliable, patient, and kind-hearted individual with extensive experience working with individuals with special needs. My father was a Special Education teacher, as well as the Special Education Director for our school district for over 10 years, which allowed me to be in the company of these individuals from a young age. I have worked as a caregiver for children and adults with various physical and cognitive impairments, including Down syndrome, autism, and cerebral palsy. Although my certification is now expired, I once worked as a CNA at an assisted living center, meaning I have been trained and am comfortable with wheelchair transfers and assisting with activities of daily living.
