I received a BA degree in psychology and an MA in clinical psychology back home where I worked as a licensed psychotherapist. I'm a PhD candidate in clinical psychology at The New School, and soon to graduate and be licensed. During my college and graduate studies, I always supported myself by instructing art classes to children, working as a shadow teacher or working closely with special needs; mainly autism and ADHD. After graduating, I worked as a full time instructor at a child development program for three years. After receiving years of psychology training (~13 years), I'm now a late diagnosed ADHD and exploring a possible autism diagnosis, which explains why I always chose to work with this population; why I enjoy it so much and how come I find it so natural to connect and empathize.
