I have worked with kids aged infant-17 for the past 12 years. I have worked as a gymnastics coach, snowboard instructor, camp counselor, and nanny. I am comfortable planning fun activities, helping with homework, prepping meals, and helping out around the house. For the past 7 years I have been working as a filmmaker/photographer and I have decided I no longer want to continue with that full time and I miss kids so I am hoping to get back into childcare. In the past 7 years, I have still worked at a summer camp for at least a few weeks every summer, most recently in August 2022. So, while my career focus has not been on kids for the past few years, I still have recent experiences working with them. The summer camp I have worked at for 8 years, Camp Tawonga, was featured in the New York Times for being an outstanding example of trans inclusion at a children's summer camp, which I was directly involved with. I am learning ASL and would be happy to teach your child some.
