I have experience working with seniors, the blind, and wheelchair bound clients. For the past 3 years, I have worked providing overnight in-home and hands-on care to a quadriplegic veteran and his service dog. I have experience and/or am currently working with with hospice, wheelchair bound, or seniors with dementia/Alzheimer's. My responsibilities often include medication prompting, toileting (bedpan, urinal, disposal undergarments), meal prep/cooking and feeding, personal hygiene and dental care, bed to chair transfers (Voyager lift system), housekeeping, errands, Bookkeeping, companionship, and overall personal care. I'm trained as a medical assistant and phlebotomist by education. I've been a registered volunteer with the San Diego non-profit ElderHelp for 5+ years. I'm a caregiver by nature and I love working with seniors in particular. My references will confirm that I am reliable and caring. I am available for evening and overnight care.
