Zandra misrepresents her experience level with this population. I entrusted Zandra with the care of my medically fragile brother, who has intellectual and developmental disabilities, expecting a high standard of attention and careful adherence to his unique needs. Unfortunately, Zandra made a series of concerning choices that jeopardized his safety and well-being, causing our family great distress. In addition to demonstrating a lack of judgment in key moments, she appeared frequently distracted by her phone, which was highly inappropriate given the level of care required. Furthermore, Zandra struggled to remember essential details about my brother’s care, which is critical for someone in her position. This lack of focus and poor memory of his specific needs led to several preventable issues and left us questioning her commitment to the role. I urge Zandra to undergo further training, particularly for working with medically fragile and IDD individuals, and to prioritize her full attention on her clients. Families like ours rely on caregivers who understand the importance of focus, communication, and responsibility to protect their vulnerable clients’ well-being. While I appreciate the challenges of caring for individuals with complex needs, the choices made during her time with us were unacceptable and led to a breakdown of trust.
