About Zakiya

Hello, my name is Zakiya, I am 22-year-old biology major going for my bachelors. As a caregiver, I am driven by my passion for positively impacting children's lives and supporting families. With one year of experience, I have a patient, creative, and approachable personality that allows me to connect with children. I prioritize open communication with parents, using their preferred method, to provide regular updates about their child's day or any concerns. I follow parents' lead in enforcing household rules and take a hands-on approach to engaging children with a variety of games, from outdoor sports to educational games that promote learning. I am comfortable caring for up to two children, ages one to 11. My college degree prepares me to handle various situations with confidence. I'm also comfortable with pets and am willing to assist with travel. Getting to know your family and your child's unique needs is important to me.
