About Zakiya

Hello! My name is Zakiya and as a caregiver, my passion lies in fostering children's growth and making a positive impact on their lives. With over a year of experience, I believe that children thrive in nurturing environments where they can learn through play, communication, and collaboration. As a patient, creative, and friendly caregiver, I prioritize open communication with parents, providing regular updates via their preferred method to discuss their child's day and address any concerns. I am also very comfortable enforcing household rules to ensure a safe and structured environment for the children in my care. My enthusiasm for childcare extends to a variety of games and activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development, such as outdoor sports, board games, and educational games. I hold a high school diploma and have completed coursework in early child development. I am a MSDE Level 3 credential and First Aid and CPR certified.
