I'd describe my personality as outgoing, compassionate, and patient. I like caring for seniors because my best friend growing up was my great grandmother. The lessons and wisdom she instilled in me are still being revealed to me even at 53. I'm looking for a job that is beneficial to both my client and I. I started caring for seniors when I was 17. I became a candy stripper and worked in a nursing home and the local hospital while I worked towards a CNA certification. In my spare time, I like to read and cook and spend time with my friends and family. I also enjoy museums and art exhibitions. One thing you should know about me is I am honest and dependable. When caring for someone in their home there is usually not someone to cover if the carer is unable to show up. I take this seriously. My skills include everything from companionship to hospice including dementia and Alzheimer's. I worked in a nursing home that specialized in Alzheimer's.
