Hi, my name is Zaharah! I am a warm and nurturing PhD student who has always enjoyed supporting kids and families. I am pursuing my PhD in Child Clinical Psychology at Penn State. In addition to school, I've enjoyed babysitting in my spare time. For over 5 years, I have tutored and cared for kids ages 5+ as a 1:1 school tutor, camp counselor, classroom aide, and junior ambassador for enrichment programs. I have also enjoyed caring for infants, toddlers, and school-aged kids through babysitting jobs. I aim to engage kids in creative and intellectually stimulating activities. I grew up immersed in the performing arts, so I enjoy helping kids explore their interests in creative ways!

Zaharah asked many questions about my daughter’s likes and dislikes before the job to make sure she planned activities my daughter liked. She played games and made slime with my daughter and when my daughter wanted to watch TV, Zaharah made sure that my daughter watched age appropriate shows. She got my daughter to bed and read a couple of bedtime stories with her. My daughter had so much fun, she asked when Zaharah could babysit again.
