Hey there! I am an engineering graduate student at the University of Florida with a background in tutoring and coaching. I received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego and have a passion for the way math and physics describe the world. Through years of tutoring and coaching swim lessons, I have developed a calm, laid back teaching style that emphasizes the basics and understanding each step of a problem. I cover topics from high school math through college level engineering classes. I excel in STEM subjects, esp. math and physics, but can apply my same tutoring style to english or writing. I can help with standardized test prep: ACT, SAT, and GRE. I scored in the upper 90% in each of these tests, and cover all sections. I have experience working with special needs children as a volunteer head coach for a Special Olympics swim team, and have a patient demeanor while teaching.
