About Yumi

I'd describe my personality as reliable, caring, and hard-working. I like tutoring because this gives the student the one on one time they may need outside of the classroom. As a teacher, I am all for extra learning opportunities as well as extra support they may need. I have been teaching for 4 years now with an additional 2 years of helping students in the classroom. In my spare time, I like to read, write, and craft. However, much of my free time goes to my bright and sassy 3-year-old. One thing you should know about me is I take the utmost care in a child's learning process. It starts at the beginning and is a process that is reviewed over and over again to best fit the child. My skills include lesson planning, assessing the student's needs, and the ability to approach a lesson from various perspectives.
