About Yumi

Prior to becoming an elementary school teacher, I worked in the childcare industry for 4 years. I've always loved working with children. From being an older sister to a teacher, and then my crowning achievement, a mom, I have always taken my role as a caretaker seriously and I always take great care to make sure each child that has been under my care feels loved and safe. As a teacher, not only do I make sure my kids are always taken care of, but I make sure to communicate with parents to let them know how their kids are doing. I believe that it is not just parents or teachers that are solely responsible for a child's success, but anyone and everyone who is involved in the child's life and this requires consistent communication across all fronts.
