I have spent most of my adult life caring for people, including special needs children. Since my degree is in Special Education, I have studied extensively and have a wealth of experience, not only in teaching but also on a personal level, as I have served as a nanny and caregiver on many occasions. I have letters of recommendation from the parents of some of the children I have cared for and all of them wanted me to continue with them, but my husband's military career required us to move, so I had to leave. I truly love working with special needs children, as my extensive background and work experience show. Even in my current capacity as a paraprofessional in a middle school, there are many students that will only respond well to me. My coworkers are amazed that I can handle these children so well, but it is because of my experience and love for what I do.
