About Yessica

I'd describe my personality as compassionate, respectful, and responsible. I like working with kids because I have a passion for enriching the minds of children. I am very passionate about education and love creating activities to further children's interest and understanding of material they have learned in school. I love learning more from young children as I believe it helps me become a better individual. I started working with kids when I was 16. I began to nanny for many families after school. Prior to that I babysat for my family on weekends. Currently I work for Poway Unified during the school year with children ages 11-13. In my spare time, I like to travel, explore nature, draw, paint, and spend time with family. One thing you should know about me is I am hoping to become an elementary or middle school teacher in the future. I enjoy all subject but my favorites are English and Science. My skills include problem solving, good communication, and great time management.
