About Yasmin

It occasionally crosses my mind that I may have been born to teach. The eldest and only daughter to a single mother with four other children, I quickly fell into the role of secondary protector and mentor. Professionally speaking, I began as an Art History major with hopes of Museum Curation. Though I love the subject and believe in its significance; I also found a deep need to help affect good change within my community. Education is a key to a better future, in my opinion! Working at The Springs Preserve within the Zoology/Education department for three years helped me to realize my love of teaching. Recently, I received my Associates in Elementary Education from CSN. And am well on my way to my Bachelor's in the same subject! With the pandemic still on going and the future of in-person classroom instruction uncertain. I hope to aide in filling those educational gaps that are inevitably to occur. English, Reading Comprehension, History, and Grammar being my strong suits.
