About Yaejin

In 2009, I had the utmost pleasure of working with an 18-month-old baby boy. He was diagnosed with Leukemia at 11 months old and needed specialized care while both of his parents went to work. I worked with K and his family for almost 5 years, with 4 of those years working full-time. During those years, I watched over K sister from time to time as well, supervising both children while also doing household work and cooking them meals. In 2011, I also tutored (while still working full-time with K) a 5-year-old student teaching him reading, writing, and verbal communication skills once a week. In 2012, while I was finishing my bachelors degree full-time, I also took on the role as a teen supervisor in Illinois where I helped create and implement after school activities for a group of underprivileged children. Fast track to 2014, and I am now also a mother of a 14-month-old baby girl!
