About Wimberley

I started my career in taking care of my nephew and niece in high school by picking them up after school and taking care of them full time in the summer. It was from this experience that my passion grew to be part of children's lives. I had many opportunities during college to babysit several families and after college I decided to attend an Alternative Teaching Program. I taught Special Education for six years and have experience both with high school aged and elementary aged children. I believe in giving one on one attention to children's needs and enjoy assisting in teaching functional, academic, and social skills. I also have experience in being a home care taker for an autistic middle school aged student. I enjoyed taking him to his extracurricular activities such as baseball and bowling. It is my pleasure to get to know families and help out in any need the family has whether it be picking up children, helping with homework, taking care of household chores, or anything that may need attention.
