I started caring for seniors by way of helping take care of my father when he became ill and could no longer do some of the simple, basic things most of us take for granted every day. This experience taught me that everyone, especially our older citizens, need to live a life that has meaning and dignity for them - in whatever way possible. I decided that this simple truth would be my guide in dealing with people whose lives have been hampered by physical or mental limitations. In the past few years I have kept this realization in mind whenever I have entered a new clients life. Some of the tasks I have helped others with include shopping, companionship at night, assist with writing letters and general correspondence, help to connect with loved ones through e-mail and social media, reading, doctors appointments, to name a few. I have excellent people skills and am compassionate, honest, reliable and considerate. I have been repeatedly told I have the patience of a saint when dealing with people.
