Hello! I am a stay-at-home father with my 3-year-old son. My son, L, has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. We started First Steps and private SLPs at 18-months-old though L. was non-verbal at 2. At that time, we decided that it was best for me to stay home with L. and work on his speech development. He has made tremendous progress and now we are looking forward to meeting friends that will help us enhance his social skills. I am hands-on and so patient. I use redirects as needed and learn heavily on positive feedback and praise.
