I worked along side a behavior therapist in Austin, Tx for a year and half developing and implementing a weekly after school program for an early elementary student with mild Autism. The program focused on increasing vocabulary, social etiquette, and strengthen emotional intelligence. One of the most important parts of the program was coaching peer to peer social interactions out in public (playgrounds, neighborhood fields trips, arranged play dates with other autistic peers).
