About Whitney

Hello families! My name is Whitney, more commonly known as the "babysitter extraordinaire" (self proclaimed ;)!!!!). I have my own car and am able to travel. I have been working in early education as a preschool teacher for almost 10 years. Naturally, with so much clientele from my classrooms it was simple to make the transition from full-time teacher to full time nanny. 5 years ago I resigned as an infant/toddler teacher in Torrance part time in the mornings and as an after-school program leader in the afternoon for a school district so I could pursue household management/nanny full time. That being said, I have tons of experience under my belt with a wide variety of ages and backgrounds. I have worked professionally in the childcare industry at a corporate level for 8 years and I have not looked back since. I could not have picked a better career and working daily with children has had such a refining effect on my attitude towards life. I started nannying part time for many of the families at the schools I was employed at and have since gained many STELLAR references available upon request, from both the families and supervisors I have worked with in the past. I am CPR and First Aid certified and working in preschools I have become skilled in the art of working for moms of all sorts of personalities (and you know how picky you "first time moms" can be... hehe) BUT, I always mesh well with the dear moms I work for. I'm a trooper and I love to make my moms happy. I have great relationships with every family I have worked for because I'm professional and experienced, but most of all I love what I do.
