Hi!!!!! I'm a 23-year-old bubbly caregiver!!!! I've been taking care of a 40-year-old quadriplegic for almost four years. My duties include bathing him, feeding him through a GI tube, trachea care, suctioning, companionship, helping him during speech and therapy, physical exercises, transferring him to and from his wheelchair. Even though I love my patient, I have been looking for opportunities to extend my experience and look for something less physically strenuous. I have my own transportation. I do not have any kids, no serious responsibilities except for my Chihuahua name Chi Chi and my pitbull name Duke!!! I'm very talkative and outgoing. My patient at the moment, because of the respiratory issues and not being able to move, he has a hard time going anywhere and does not like to go out, so I'm not able to take him anywhere, which is a downside for me because I'm very outgoing. The person I take care of now is no longer a patient but a good friend, and I'm afraid if I do not leave now I will never have the heart to leave and experience growth elsewhere!!
