Being the daughter of a strong-willed and strong-minded woman diagnosed with progressive multiple sclerosis, caring for those in need comes naturally to me. I currently work with a 6-year-old girl diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder, disabling her from talking, walking, or eating. Despite her inability to communicate verbally, her smile says it all. =) Prior to that, I worked with a vivacious 26-year-old with cerebral palsy. My goal was to increase his independent living skills, both at home and in the community, and, boy, did he surpass my expectations. I am CDPAP through Recco, medicaid compliant and trained.
