I work hard to ensure that care of the home (cooking and housekeeping) and personal care are completed effectively and respectfully. The best part of the job for me is the personal connection. Making someone smile, reminding someone that they are still important even if they can't do what they used to do and learning about people through listening to their stories is the brightest part of my day. I have experience caring for children and adults with special needs, dementia care as well as palliative care.

Wendy connected immediately with my parents. She took her time to learn what was important to each of my parents. Wendy gently came alongside of my mom especially, who needed a bit more assistance at times. She respected the fact that she was in my parents homes, encouraged them and was so loving and caring. She guided us since we were new to caregiving services and went above and beyond in meeting my parents needs. My mom used to say that she felt like Wendy made her feel like she was a friend even though she was a professional at all times as a caregiver. Wendy is creative and has the ability to approach caregiving when people don’t feel like they need it. She empowered my parents to stay independent while meeting needs they could not do for themselves. My parents never felt like they didn’t have a voice! Can’t recommend highly enough.
