HI! I'm a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology. My Masters degree is in Marriage, Family & Couple Counseling and Leadership. I have a Caribbean background as I grew up in Trinidad (I am a US citizen). I have a B. S. in Psychology and minor in Gerontology. I love children and babies. I have experience raising my now 14-year-old niece from her infancy, and babysitting children in the neighborhood and those who were recommended to me since I was 15 years old. I have experience caring and nurturing babies from newborns to kindergarten in Pittsburgh, New York and Buffalo. Children of all ages find me easily relatable and fun, but I also provide authority based on your guidelines and preferences. I will be happy to learn your parenting styles. I have no gender preference. I have experience with premature babies as well. Also, I am a pet owner myself so pets would not be a problem for me. I would love to find a regular, weekly position to work but can also work as a backup sitter if need

Waseme, worked for our family and took care of our Baby Boy (6months - 1+ Year Old). Sammy, as we know her by, was always there for us when we needed her, which was daily. Looking back the most important thing she did was give us peace of mind. We hired her during the Covid-19 Pandemic, which was an uncertain and stressful time for first time parents. She conducted herself in a manner that never gave us any concerns or worries as it pertained to the pandemic and the care our child was receiving from her. Some of Sammy's responsibilities included diaper changes, feeding, and a general watchful eye over our Son. Sammy's knowledge and experience proved valuable to us, as we often had parenting decisions as it pertains to schedule, feeding, etc., and Sammy's expertise helped us to figure out the right things to do for our child. Sammy became a friend and a part of our family and we couldn't recommend her enough! Your child and family will be in good hands with Sammy!
