About Wanda

My neighbor's son (6 years old) describes me as someone who is "really sweet, like really sweet. She is really helpful with video games, and doesn't make me feel stupid when I ask questions." I enjoy continuously learning about what care means to our tiny humans because it isn't one size fits all. I am available for pick ups, drop offs, meal prep, homework help, general play time and sitting. I began caring for our neighbor's kids in high school and continued into college. I've mentored several children (ages 8 - 14) for conversational English for the past 2 years and I often take care of friend's children in a pinch. I enjoy (and happy to incorporate) creative activities such as painting, collaging, neighborhood walks, and fitting in some video games to wind down in my free time. I am patient, empathetic and can adjust my communication style to ensure your little ones feel safe, heard and comfortable. I'm happy to meet or chat on the phone to see if we're a great match!
