About Vy

Hi there! I'm Vy (like the letter), and I'm currently an undergraduate at Yale University studying English with a Creative Writing Concentration and Russian Certificate (a mouthful, I know). I've worked for one Yale family, and I'm excited to continue pursuing childcare while in my hometown on Northern VA. In addition to being certified in CPR and Yale Programs for Children and Youth, I also work with children as Co-President of the New Haven Urban Debate League, a non-profit that provides free debate education to public school students in New Haven. I've coached debate since my first-year of college, teaching lessons ranging from economics to race relations! I'm committed to providing a safe environment for kids to be expressive and learn new things :) I love being creative while attuned to children's emotions, from teenagers to elementary schoolers. I stay calm and collected in chaos, and I'm always willing to help your child work through challenging reading/writing homework.
