I work as a Special Education Paraprofessional for about 16 years under SFUSD and I have 7 years of experience working with special students with a variety of needs in an elementary school setting. I have strong passion for the children. They need a special person like me to support them. I am warm, pleasant, sensitive, with positive attitude, and caring heart and I know I can make a huge difference in their lives. Besides taking care of their needs, I can be their teacher and their friends. I understand that a special needs child needs someone who can understand and treat him/her just like everybody else. I would let the child to live as much as independently as they can to learn daily life skills.
