About Virginia

For the past 10 years I have balanced my time between unique childcare experiences and earning a doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology: as a live-in and out nanny; teacher in daycares; as a church nursery director; and as a counselor in public schools, community clinics, and in private practice. I have worked with children with developmental and medical concerns, with learning disabilities, and with multiples. I receive deep fulfillment from daily engagement with children and having flexibility to build a routine around the child needs and curiosities. Parents I have worked for have described me as loving, compassionate, and reliable. An aspect of nannying that I value is that every family and child is unique; my job is to work collaboratively with parents and other caregivers to create a secure environment for the child.
