Growing up on a farm, I learned to love and care for all sorts of animal from horses, cows, chicken, goats, and sheep to cats and dogs who were more family members. I have nursed sick animals, trained pets, and loving care for many animals of my own. I have experienced how they become quickly part of the family and need the same nurturing you would give to children. I would follow directions thoroughly as if the beloved animal was my own.

Virginia has taken care of both of my dogs on a number of different occasions. I highly recommend her! I was especially impressed by the lengths she went to accommodate my Yellow Lab, Canchito, the first time we left him at her house. He was a shelter dog and afraid of just about everything - including shiny floors. When we came back at the end of the weekend, we found that she had laid out bathmats, beach towels, and area rugs across the length of the hardwood floor in her living room and dining room so he had a "safe path" to move from room to room. She was always very gentle and loving with him and he really adored her. He has since passed away, but he would just light up whenever he saw her. Virginia is reliable, energetic, and truly an animal lover. She is not only a conscientious caregiver but also seems to really enjoy actively playing with dogs. She is a clear communicator and able to follow special instructions without any issues. She is able to care for sick or injured pets as well as healthy active ones. Virginia comes from a farming background and I know that she has experience with a variety of farm animals. I would not hesitate to leave any animal in her care.
