It is my great pleasure to recommend Violet S. as a nanny. She has been caring for our 5 year-old son since he was four months old and our 2 year old daughter since she was born. She worked with us full-time for four years and is now working with us on a part-time basis. Violet's primary responsibility is to care for our children, including cooking for them, playing with them, and driving them to/from activities. In addition, she helps manage our household, including light errands (grocery shopping, Target, Post Office), laundry, and other household organization needs. Violet is intelligent, responsible, and loving. She has impressive nannying experience - all of her former jobs were long term, which is a testament to her skill and loving nature. She is well educated and speaks excellent English, but also teaches my kids words in Spanish and Romanian. She is constantly engaged with the kids - whether it s snuggling up with a book on the sofa, doing a seasonal art project together, or having a tea party. Violet is also extremely reliable. She is never late and has very rarely missed a day of work, giving me the confidence that I ll never miss an important appointment or meeting. Finally, Violet has a natural affinity for children. My kids absolutely adore her - but so do all of the neighborhood kids. One of Violet's best traits is her willingness to go above and beyond. From planting our window boxes with the kids in the springtime to decorating the house for Christmas in December, she finds projects that both engage the kids and help make my life a little bit easier. When I was on bed rest with my daughter, Violet singlehandedly painted and readied my son s big boy room for move-in. We feel so fortunate to have Violet in our lives. She is truly a part of our family. We are convinced that our son and daughter owe much of their positive development to her presence. Her approach to caring for our children complements our parenting style; she respects our personal child rearing philosophy, but also has the confidence to independently make day-to-day decisions regarding our kids. I trust her implicitly. Violet is an outstanding nanny. We give her the highest possible recommendation.
