Looking back, it now seems that Veronica was sent to us as if by a miracle. We had no experience with caregivers when our healthy 93 year old mother needed one due to a life changing injury. At that time our mom strongly voiced that she didn't want or need a caregiver. We felt she did and Veronica let me know she was experienced with that situation and could handle it - she was correct. She rapidly went from three days a week to being there five days a week. She cooked (much to our mother's liking), shopped, managed medical needs, had the experience to find new and alternative solutions when she recognized medications or other remedies were not working, and a host of other responsibilities - because she cared...and had the experience that was needed. Eventually seven day per week care was needed. Veronica helped us to hire additional caregivers. She interviewed and trained each new one. She monitored their performance and caring to assure that our mother was well taken care of. Then, due to another injury, our now 94 year old mother required seven day a week, 24 hour care. Again, Veronica helped us find, train, schedule and monitor these caregivers. There are not enough words to express how valuable she was to us to ensure our mother was so completely cared for! She not only became the manager and primary caregiver, but in the year and a half she was with us she became family!
