About Verna

My husband, a retired physician, and I, a retired registered nurse, are honored to recommend Verna E. as a CNA care giver. At a time when we both had medical issues, our son and daughter-in-law found Verna on Care.com, interviewed her by phone and made arrangements for us to meet and interview her in our home. We immediately recognized that not only did she have the professional skills we needed, but she was very personable, pleasant, friendly and we knew she would be the right fit for us. We hired her the day of the Interview. Verna is not only a CNA, but she also has additional training in wound care, which I needed on a daily basis adjunct to the Home Health registered nurses who came to our home three times each week. As an RN myself and as the patient, I observed her advanced skills in wound care, sterile technique and dressing changes and felt very comfortable being on the receiving end. My husband needed supportive care following hospitalization and Verna managed to care for both of us. In addition to giving physical care, Verna was able and willing to assist us with transportation to doctors’ appointments, running errands and light housekeeping. She would accompany me during my appointments to observe the treatment regimen prescribed for me and would correctly follow the physician’s treatment plan. Verna is a very pleasant person, has a great sense of humor and we enjoy her company in addition to her skills. Both of us HIGHLY recommend Verna E. as a care giver and it is our pleasure to do so.
