Vere was with us for over four years. She took care of my mom during her last year, and then she took care of my dad for the last three and a half years. Mom had all her marbles and was very demanding - but she adored Vere. Dad had dementia and could be difficult to deal with, but again he loved Vere and did whatever she asked! She was an unfailingly cheerful presence, and a very hard worker. I’m a little lost without her now. We still see her though, because she’s part of our family now.
