I have worked with special needs at mostly a therapeutic level: Recreation, Psychosocial, pre-vocational, life skills, ADL, etc. I have great references, and work mostly as a Therapeutic Specialist for places like: Mosaic, Grand Junction, and also work as a consultant in GJ. I also am the founder of a vocational training in GJ: Therapeutic Recreation (Special Needs/Elderly Focused). I love to make a difference, and be part of seeing someone I work with, learn and discover new ideas, independence, skills, friends, recreation, more. I am available for PT work due to my own disability: Chronic Pain from a car accident, I have some Neuropathy and so that is why I am no longer working FT. I am however, a good person for "Refreshment Respite" short times for shopping, etc 1-4 hours, etc. I love doing activities, assisting with life activities, outdoors, shopping with my clients, and more. I love doing crafts too! I have worked for nursing homes; Day programs; developmental programs; A brain Injury Program; one to one with young adults with various disabilities, and more.
