Hello, my name is Vanessa and I am a college student at CBU, with a dual enrollment program at SBVC. I am currently majoring in early childhood development and education. I am young, but I am kind, caring, and understanding adult with a passion for caring and working along side children. I am goal oriented and well organized, and am eager to work with you. I enjoy working with children, because I have a passion for watching kids grow, as well as to teach them, and also learn from them. I have a flexible schedule, reliable transportation, and am willing to go above and beyond for the care of your children I look forward to working with you! :)

I hesitated to write this but after some reflection and hearing from others who I know hired or tried to hire Vanessa, I felt I should put an honest review out there. Vanessa interviews well and is perfect on paper however, she is more suited for toddlers and babysitting not a full-time nanny position. I hired her for a day for a working interview and she was decent for my 3 year old but not hands on at all for my 1 year old. She did not check or change diapers, did not offer a snack or drink, at one point she sat in the bounce house with my son on her phone when she thought I wasn't watching. I thought for one day I would give her a pass and that maybe she was shy... but when I scheduled her to come back she canceled at midnight the night before she was to arrive. Her excuse was she wasn't a good match after all. Which I agreed. However, a neighbor tried to hire her and was given the excuse that the hours didn't work but the hours were within the times indicated on her advertisement and basically the same hours she was willing to work for me. Then recently she agreed to work for another neighbor and at the last minute canceled leaving her without help and said again, after more consideration she wasn't a good fit. How can you allow a family to put you in their schedule and after 3 weeks cancel last minute? How do you call yourself a professional nanny but consistently cancel on hardworking families? I don't know why Vanessa is even on here if she's not serious about finding work. Also, when I asked about her experience she mentioned she had experience with her little sister and one other family with a little boy but didn't seem to have real consistent nanny experience but maybe more babysitting experience here and there. I hope this helps... I feel sorry for others who get constantly flaked on and these so called professional helpers get to keep 5 star ratings... its very deceiving and unfair.
