About Vanessa

Hi families!!! My name is Vanessa and I am a 29-year-old originally from Fort Lauderdale, FL. I have over 10 years of professional childcare experience. I have been a caregiver for my nieces and nephews with ages ranging from 9 months to 12 years old, non-consecutively, for 10 years. Tasks include meal prep/administration, bath time, nap time, pickup from school, homework and leisure activities: watching TV, playing with toys/games and outdoor activities. I have also worked with Jumpstart Americorps for one year with students in an elementary school between the ages of 4 and 6. There I facilitated activities such as reading, arts & crafts and dramatic play. I also spoke with parents about the behavior and learning patterns of their children. I have degrees in Biology and Epidemiology and I have always viewed each sitting as a unique experience to progress in the area of childcare through having each child's health and well-being in mind.
