About vanessa

Hi! My name is Vanessa, I am currently a sophomore at Grand Valley State University! I am currently majoring in Social Work with a minor in Psychology. While home for the summer, I would love to gain some more hands on skills when working with children! My goal is to become a child family therapist in the near future. I graduated from Dakota High School while also being a part of the Early College program with Macomb Community College! While wrapping up my junior and senior years at Dakota, I also completed many college courses. After graduating high school in 2023, I graduated with my Associate degree in 2024! I have past classroom experience with children with my local church in Romeo, Michigan! I helped prepare second graders for their first communion for two years in a row. Some of my strengths include; English language arts, Pre-Calculus math and lower levels, fluency in both Spanish and English with elementary proficiency in French, and basic reading and writing skills!
