My name is Vanessa and I have been working with people who have special needs my entire life. When I was a teenage, I cared for my Mom's best friend who had Cancer. It really gave me a science of belonging and feeling like I was not only a caregiver but a part of the family. She really did enjoy my help and company and I enjoyed hers more. Then I was a babysitter for a handicapped 5 years old 3 days a week and it was one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever experienced. I enjoy working with all age groups and anyone who has ever been disabled. My heart goes out to them and their families.
