I'd describe my personality as understanding, caring and outgoing: I'm looking for a job that I can help children with special needs on academics, communication and behavior/social skills. I am looking to tutor children a few times a week in their home to help with skills they need to be successful in their home and in the community. I am able to help families with difficulties they are having with their child by establishing functional routines and schedules. I am currently a Life Skills teacher and have been teaching children for over 30 years. I have experience teaching children with many different types of disabilities in the classroom as well as the home setting. In my spare time, I like to garden and travel. One thing you should know about me is that I will meet your child where they are and try to give them the tools to be as independent as possible. My skills include behavior, language development and basic academics.
