I have been caregiving for the elderly for over 15 years now, mostly dealing with Alzheimer's and Dementia patients. I once was a caregiver for a married couple for 3 years, one of which had Dementia and the other Alzheimer's. It gave me a better understanding of the difference between Dementia and Alzheimer's. I have been a caregiver for two other Alzheimer's patients until their final days and am well aware of how quickly the decline process is and how to manage it. My priority is your loved ones always and to advocate for whoever I am caregiving for while also being there for the family during their difficult times and someone they can depend on. I've also been a caregiver to those that don't have any illnesses and just needed a friend and someone to help around the house. I've thoroughly enjoyed being a companion to everyone I've ever worked for and hearing stories, doing puzzles, playing dominoes, or hearing about their hobbies has been an absolute joy.
