About Vanessa

1) I have 22 years experience working one-on-one with students. I am certified through Orton-Gillingham of Minnesota to help dyslexic children by using a multi-sensory approach so they can conquer their struggles and actually enjoy reading. I believe in teaching to the whole child, and I love to see them rise above their frustrations and fears as together we work to resolve their issues. I start with an assessment to learn exactly where their struggles and gaps are and then I design prescriptive lessons individualized for each child. 2) I am also an ADHD coach and enjoy working with students and adults who want to be more efficient and effective at living the life they want. We work on executive functioning skills like goal setting, prioritizing, designing external structure and staying on top of tasks. I also provide encouraging accountability through daily or weekly check-ins. You decide how much accountability you want, and we set up our plan based on exactly what you need.
