About Vanessa

Hi! I'm Vanessa and I've cared for children of varying ages for years. I have always loved kids and have just become an aunt myself! I recently relocated to NYC for my partner's career and am in between jobs. I'd describe my personality as thoughtful, sincere, and humorous I like working with kids because they allow us to experience life vicariously through them; they're constantly learning and growing and questioning. I find a lot of meaning and gratification in caring for my loved ones, and that extends into child care because children need us to protect and be a friend to them, at all ages! I have a flexible schedule and am happy to accommodate your specific needs once we meet and learn more about each other. I started babysitting kids when I was 13 and did it for years on and off until I went to college. Some of my most relevant skills include cooking, patience, and communication. I have always been a patient person and really value healthy, effective communication.
