I've been working teaching children with special needs for over 18 years, at a local school in the Early Childhood Department in my community. Some of the children I work with have numerous diagnosis, like Cerebral Palsy, Blindness, Down Syndrome, Autism, or children on the Spectrum. These are just a few of some of the diagnosis of children I work with. I can truly say, without any reservations that I enjoy going to work everyday to see the smiles on these little ones faces, each day. I believe it's a gift to be able to work daily with children. I enjoy being apart of a team of leaders at my school, and being a participate helping our children to reach specific goals.. Some of our children that I work with are learning to hold a cup, eat from a spoon, taking a few steps, or just tolerating loud noises when we're playing music at our circle-time groups at social time. I believe it does take patients for sure to be able to work with children.
