About Vanessa

Hi, I have over 20 years of experience in childcare in different forms. I worked as a teacher assistant and teacher for over 12 years with lower elementary students. I then started a nature based home daycare and had it open for 10 years. I worked with various age groups from newborns up to age 8. For the last two years I have worked as a nanny for two wonderful families that employed me for their newborns. I love the Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf approaches to early childhood education. I incorporate some of each in my interactions with the children I care for. Nature is a big part of each of these approaches and it's my passion. Going outside daily whenever possible is a priority. I also love natural ingredients and am well versed in making nutritious baby food. If I had to describe myself I would have to say that I am extremely patient, caring, and creative in my work with kids. I absolutely love kids and the magic they bring to this world!
